A modern home

In January 2008 The Development Trust moved into their new home across the road from the old Fourways building. Set over three levels the new Fourways 2 building is a modern spacious office environment with cutting edge facilities.

Fourways2, Amble Fourways 2 is set on the grounds of the former Norseman building (pictures below) an old dance hall in Amble that had become run down and unused. The Fourways 2 project offered the chance to regenerate a gateway building in the town and offer a much needed service hub.

The Facilities that the building offers include a large adaptable conference room with High Definition facilities, high speed wireless internet access and a modern crisp feel and a smaller meeting room capable of delivering quality electronic content.

Judges' Gem Landmark Award 2008

Fourways 2 won the 2008 prestigious Judges' Gem Landmark Award.

The Journal Landmark Awards, awards building projects which in their view demonstrates building excellence.

The Journal, together with law firm Watson Burton and sponsored by Allied Irish Bank (GB) aims to reward the work of those within the building industry as well as spotlighting those initiatives and developments, which represent the very best in concept, design and construction.

Fourways 2 is owned and managed by Amble Development Trust. Building was funded by One North East, Northumberland Strategic Partnership, the Northern Rock Foundation, Alnwick District Council, European Regional Development Fund and the government's Adventure Capital Fund.
